Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 225 degrees Celsius. Mix together the marinade with oil, soy sauce, ketchup, and spices. Place the chicken drumsticks in an ovenproof dish, spreading them out well. Then pour the marinade over the chicken drumsticks and mix around, preferably brush to ensure they are completely covered.
Place the chicken drumsticks in the oven for about 1 hour if they are frozen and about 40 minutes if they are thawed. Baste the chicken with its juices a couple of times during cooking and if it becomes too dry, you can add a splash of water. Press on the chicken with a fork; when the juices that come out are clear, the chicken is fully cooked.
