If the dough feels too soft, it can be refrigerated for about 30 minutes. However, it is usually fine to roll out the dough thinly and then place it over the pie dish. Alternatively, if you don't have a rolling pin, you can press out the dough with your fingers. Make sure that the dough reaches up and hangs over the edge of the pie dish to prevent it from shrinking during pre-baking. Prick the bottom with a fork.
