Small pieces of meat can be saved and frozen to be used as a garnish or topping on otherwise vegetarian dishes. Beef tenderloin is particularly suitable for this purpose, as small bits are often left over from the thinner parts or during the trimming of the larger fillet. Freeze these small pieces and use them in this recipe!
Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and dice the beef fillet into approximately 1.5 x 1.5 cm cubes.

First, sauté the beef tenderloin cubes for about 1-2 minutes in a frying pan with a little cooking oil to achieve a nice sear. Then lower the heat and continue to cook in butter for an additional 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
